Hello World

Every day when we open our eyes, we are thrown into an endless performance. People wear masks and pretend to live in an ideal world, but is this really what they want?

Indifference and powerlessness towards life

The “world” seems to be filled with noise, and people are rushing between extravagance, trying to find meaning. However, behind all of this is just a bigger void.

Nietzsche once said, “All men are lonely.” This sentence is like a cold wind, blowing through the hypocritical noise of this world.

Thoughts on the meaninglessness of life

keep pursuing, trying to make our lives seem more meaningful, but when everything becomes silent, what is the meaning? It is just a self-deception in the void.

We repeat the same things every day, like a machine, running continuously, but never ask ourselves “why we live”. People on the street are in a hurry, as if there is something important waiting for them to complete, but are they really pursuing something? Perhaps, they are just used to the mask of vanity and the warmth of lies.

People try to find meaning and build seemingly perfect lives, but they cannot cover up the emptiness in their hearts. Camus said that life is absurd, and everything we do is just to fill the real nothingness with false meaning. Unfortunately, no one is willing to face this truth.

What is the meaning? Perhaps it is just a game of self-deception. We cling to one goal after another so that we don’t seem so lost. However, when everything returns to silence, we are eventually swallowed by nothingness.

People will continue their games, wearing masks and enjoying their self-proclaimed happiness. And I am just a cold-eyed spectator, watching their hypocritical performances in this desolate reality.

Maybe people will continue to pretend to be happy and pretend that everything is fine. I have no intention of changing anyone, I just stand in this desolation and watch their carnival.

Maybe, one day, I will be as intoxicated by this false warmth as they are. Or maybe not. Who knows?

The subway that never stops

A man is sitting on a subway that never stops. The train has no destination and keeps going through the tunnel without end. He begins to realize that his life is like this subway, always chasing some illusory goal, but in fact the destination is just a dream.

People keep chasing after empty goals and thinking about the emptiness and meaninglessness of the final outcome.

I’m just an ordinary person

Whenever I stand in the crowd, I feel like I am one of countless faces, small and blurry. We “ordinary people” have never been outstanding, have never attracted attention, and live an ordinary and almost transparent life.

I have worked hard to get rid of this ordinary and prove that I am different. However, after each struggle, I found that I was just squeezed flatter and smaller by reality. I found that no matter how hard I tried, I was always just a small screw in this huge machine, fixed in the corner, neither paid attention to nor able to change anything.

Have we ordinary people ever had a similar sense of powerlessness? Maybe what we want to change is not only our own life, but the whole world. We long for life to be different and long to break free from all rules and constraints. But reality is cold, and its face has never changed because of our insignificant wishes.

Everyone is defined by this world, perhaps an “ordinary employee”, perhaps an “ordinary parent”, or perhaps just a set of data. In a long life, we are pressed under work, responsibility, and pressure, and gradually lose our original dreams. We once longed for change, and even hoped that we could influence others, but in the end we realized that we could not even control ourselves.

All our efforts and all our running around are just to find a foothold in the cracks of this society. Life is like a river, we are caught in it, drifting with the current, unable to resist. Those dreams and expectations for the future are now just flashes in our memories, and we can only accept reality and move on.

People always tell us to be brave and pursue our dreams, but how many people have really realized them? The fate of those ordinary people is like abandoned roads, and no one has paid attention to them for a long time.

We are just dust in the wind, occasionally blown up and feel a little freedom for a short time, but eventually fall back to the ground and are swallowed silently by the earth. And the world remains the same, neither changing nor remembering us.
